Media PR Package

Social Media R&R

Our Package Details

Ghostwriting and editing are a separate charge – not included in package price, but resources for both are offered through FuzionPress.

Author mentoring
With the author mentoring services through FuzionPress, you will work with one representative who will serve as the main point of contact. The representative will work with you through the entire process from design to distribution.

If your publishing package includes ghostwriting, editorial services, marketing, social media, and/or PR you will also coordinate with specialists to help meet your publishing goals.

Publishing Class

YOU are ready to publish your book, now what should you do?  This class will help you publish a book in today's market.  We will also talk about the most frequently asked questions a printer/publisher gets ask daily from self-publishing authors and what not to do.  If you have ever dreamed of seeing your book in print this is the class for you!

ISBN And Barcode

For your book to be recognized in the book market an International Standard Book Number (ISBN) is assigned. This 13-digit number is unique to your book and will have the imprint of FuzionPress.  We will also generate the barcode for the back of the book.

Library of Congress Control Number

The Library of Congress Number will be printed on the copyright page. FuzionPress will apply for it before printing; it could take up to two weeks to get the Library of Congress Number.  A Library of Congress catalog control number is a unique identification number that the Library of Congress assigns to the catalog record created for each book in its cataloged collections. Librarians use it to locate a specific Library of Congress catalog record in the national databases and to order catalog cards from the Library of Congress or from commercial suppliers.

Cover Design

I think we all know the saying, “Don’t judge a book by its cover.” But that is not the way it really is, is it?

Everyone does it. Everyone judges books by their covers. And it is a good thing they do or they would never pick up a book.

I ask every client this question. What do you see when you close your eyes. What does your book cover look like? Close your eyes and picture yourself handing your book to one of your adoring fans. What colors are on the cover? What size is the book? Do you see an image on the front cover? What is the image that you see? We will help you capture the dream of your cover and make it reality.

  • We will propose three amazing front cover concepts that reflect the feel of your book

  • Once you choose your favorite concept, you and we will confirm the details about the design elements

  • You will receive the first draft of the cover and have one free round of corrections. Additional corrections will be billed at $70 per hour.

  • After we incorporate any changes per your request to your design, you’ll receive your final cover as a PDF.

Interior Book Design and Layout

Formatting or paginating the interior of your book is putting it in order by page, adding the blanks, selecting the font, size of the font, headers, page numbers, front matter, back matter and so on… Professionals are available to do this, do not attempt to do it on your own. This is a very important aspect of how your book's content is presented.  You will be given a PDF of the interior to review before a printed proof is created.  You will have one free round of corrections included in the package price. Additional corrections will be billed at $70 per hour.  Once you approve your PDF you will receive a hard copy proof for review.

Editorial Assessment

You will speak with one of our professional editors to determine which type of editing your book needs.  Editing is an additional cost based on the type of editing needed.

Ghost Writing

Process

Amy Jauman begins working with every client by assessing their goals for the piece in an interview and then reviewing the reference materials available. Once she establishes what additional research and interviews may be needed, she sends an outline for client approval. Upon approval, she begins writing and researching as the content unfolds. Client reviews occur at multiple milestones, allowing feedback throughout the process. Because the review and feedback process happens throughout, the final review and edits are typically minimal, but that is the final step that ensures 100% satisfaction.

Editing

Developmental editors: You may hear this called substantive, or comprehensive editors. Whatever it is called, these are the editors who work with you before you have even put one word on your very blank piece of paper. They help you go deep and polish your ideas, figure out who your target audience is, arrange your chapters in non-fiction, or save your protagonist from hordes of repulsive man-eating zombies in your sci-fi novel. The developmental editors are right there with you every step of the way, helping you make your book the best it can be. Good developmental editors don’t tell you what to do, they get you to figure it out on your own.

Copyeditors come next. They will ask you a bunch of questions, check your facts for accuracy, your prose for readability, and your plot for believability. The copyeditors suggest what to cut out, which areas to expand, and where to go deeper. They are the techies. After you and your developmental editor have cut and polished the manuscript, they read it judiciously, inspecting for correct grammar, spelling, and punctuation. They point out if there are inconsistencies in your storyline or if there are problems with your facts.

Proofreaders come at the very end. They see the manuscript after the design is completed, and everything is in place. This includes; the photos, captions, front matter, and back matter. The proofreaders check to make sure the headings, page numbers, fonts, are all correct.
